Welcome to a site featuring the documentation of the making of a C3 Resto / Custo Mod Corvette, a project I've named the C35 Vette.
The project - a 1977 (C3 vette) body setting on a custom frame equipped with a 1997 (C5 vette) drive-line & suspension....
The result - the C35 Vette!
The goal - adapt all C5 technology into the C3 - A to Z - Air filter to Z06 wheels, and everything in between!
The beauty of the C3 Shark Corvette and the functionality of a C5 Corvette!
Resto-Mods (Restored classics Modified to utilize modern technology) have become very popular, but finding deep documentation on the builds are rare. Hence, the idea of this website.
Another interesting perspective of this project is that it is a side project of an average person, me. The same person researching the direction, locating the parts, test fitting the components, documenting the results, taking the pictures, writing the site content, & doing this website, otherwise known as Dave.
My simple idea - share my experiences building the C35 Vette!
